Lent Series - Fourth Sunday - The Sabbath

Today's reflection is on...

The Sabbath

Today is Sunday March 26, 2017, the fourth Sunday in Lent.
This is entry number 26 in this series.

Today we look at The Sabbath...

This morning as I feel the wind move across the water and the cool air sweeping across my face. I notice the dance of the trees as they too move with this energy and feel this energy of Life. As this Energy of Life moves, IT touches me at the same time IT touches the water and the tree, seemingly not one first but at the same time, as if to say this now moment is eternal. This movement of energy and dance of Life itself is Divine. IT is Spirit expressing and we are immersed in IT and IT is immersed throughout us, and as us, right here, and right now. IT is Good, IT is God, IT is within and everywhere present. Rejoice and stand in awe of the majesty of creation and be glad in IT.

Notice the presence of God everywhere as you move through your day. Practice the Presence by looking to see the invisible and notice IT. Be mindfully aware of all that is God all around you.

Today, our Sabbath day, besides looking only within let's also look outside of ourselves and see God here. there and everywhere too!

"Remember the Sabbath day, and keep it holy." - Exodus 20:8-1

– Stephen J. Kosmyna

I affirm: "I rest in the consciousness of the true Sabbath, and my heart is filled with joy and satisfaction." - Charles Fillmore

The Scripture reading that Charles Fillmore suggests for today can be found right here: Mark 2:23-28; 3:1-6

In his classic work Keep a True Lent, Charles Fillmore offers daily words of inspiration to reflect on as we move ourselves towards our own resurrection day and the glorious celebration of Easter Sunday and all the newness of Life that it holds for all of us.
