Lent Series - Fifth Sunday - The Overcomer

Today's reflection is on...

The Overcomer

Today is Sunday the 5th Sunday in Lent.
This is entry number 33 in this series.

Today we look at The Overcomer...

Sometimes you just have to give yourself your own little inspirational and motivational self talk!

Say inside that enough is enough; that today, this day you move past trust, you move above and beyond faith to an absolute knowing that the Power to overcome is within you. The Power of God, the Power of Good is what you are made of. Know, really know, that no person, no condition, no circumstance, no situation, no crisis, no harmful word, no lie, not anything in this world is more powerful than the Divine Power within you.

Mary L. Kupferle paraphrases 1 John 4:4 in a most comforting way right here in this affirmation: 'There is nothing to fear; I refuse to fear. Greater is the power of God that is in me than anything which is in the world.' Allow the greater feeling of Divine Love to wash over you, through you and wash away all that is burdensome.

Affirm: Just as I see darkness vanish as light overcomes it so to do my thoughts of lack and limitation disappear when I turn my attention to the abundant blessings of God. I Am immersed in and saturated with Divine Life and Light, Divine Wisdom and Love. Today I shift my attitude to one of gratitude for all the good in my life and as I do the darkness fades and I stand in the light of true prosperity

- Stephen J. Kosmyna

I affirm: "I Am an overcomer through Jesus Christ and I rest in the realization of His grace and power." - Charles Fillmore

The Scripture reading that Charles Fillmore suggests for today can be found right here: John 20:19-31

In his classic work Keep a True Lent, Charles Fillmore offers daily words of inspiration to reflect on as we move ourselves towards our own resurrection day and the glorious celebration of Easter Sunday and all the newness of Life that it holds for all of us.
